WASP has an established presence and network within the Western Australian wheatbelt which provides the ability to source and acquire land suitable for commercial Australian sandalwood plantations.

WASP's plantation design is the result of 20 years of R&D and 15 years of experience in developing commercial sandalwood plantations. This design aids optimal stocking, host to sandalwood balance, reduced sandalwood shading and ease of access for maintenance and harvesting.

WASP's establishment system involves seeding sandalwood onto an existing host tree root system. WASP achieves optimal establishment rates through careful selection of seed from seed orchards, transplanting host trees, precise spacing dynamics and ensuring proper site preparation clear of debris, weeds and pests.

WASP has developed a number of silvicultural systems to optimise the growth rates and commercial value of the sandalwood. These systems improve crop uniformity, manage stocking rates, improve tree form, mitigate risk and manage pressures from weeds and pests.

WASP has developed a harvesting system designed to optimise the recovery of roots, butts and logs with a grading system that grades these products according to demand from both wood and oil markets. Products are then air dried to less than 12% prior to packing and export.

WASP maintains a presence in Asia, Europe and the Americas working with buyers and processors to fulfil their long-term supply needs. WASP has a strong preference to work with parties that are equally committed to transparent chain of custody for legally sourced sandalwood products.
